Hemoglobal is a fully registered charitable organization working to provide medical equipment and treatment to Sri Lankan children with thalassemia, an inherited life-threatening blood disorder. Based in Toronto Canada since November 2004, Hemoglobal is made up of a team of international thalassemia health professionals including Drs. Olivieri and Weatherall.
MELODY KHODAVERDIAN
Melody graduated from The University of Toronto with a Honours Bachelor of Science, with a double major in Human Biology and Philosophy, and from the University of Edinburgh with a Master of Science in Global Health and Public Policy. Her interests include the social determinants of global health and maternal and child health. As Hemoglobal's Project Coordinator, she is in charge of spearheading awareness, fundraising, and volunteer management, as well as ensuring the smooth daily operation of the organization.
